July 9 th , 2011 was a turning point in my life, on our 1st marriage anniversary; my wife gifted me an exotic inner wear!! As all young couples, we are fond of traveling and this happened in Europe.

I was way too excited about this unusual gift and couldn’t hold my new found fire; hence, I shared about it with my brother Neeraj Mittal & friends, needless to say they too got excited about it and we all got talking about this remarkable idea…but with a question mark on our face, is this possible with our Indian mind set!! I was very much sure that there are many guys out there who would love to receive or buys such exotic inner wears. I not only cherished my wonderful and unusual gift but the thought to do something around this concept ignited in me enormously. Hailing from a business class family, I took the chance to explore this idea in the market.

My power packed passion on the theme made me even quit my well paid job from Ericson in the year 2013. And, after contemplating; I finally took a bold decision to carry out in action. I began by approaching vendors in the similar merchandizing. I made an in-depth survey on the subject and studied the availability of manufacturers, production houses etc & decided that this is the time to plunge and launch myself as a Brand in something Unique and Different!

We started off on a very small scale & planned to outsource manufacturing from 3rd party in India. Eventually, we realized that there is a gap in bringing out the end product as per our likes. The very inception of bringing something exotic and intimate was to be met with perfection. This was a good drawback which gave birth to our own manufacturing unit. Thus, we became the “Premium Intimate Inner Wear” Brand; we started with our own online store by the name laintimo.com. With great response and success, we expanded to other channel in domestic market. We are listed on all major e- commerce portals like to Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong etc.

In 2016, we decided to expand into midrange & introduced another brand- Basics by La Intimo! You will be surprised to know that our top selling products are G-string, Brief & Thong. We were instrumental in bringing our Indian men and women out of the closet, our customers are happy we took this bold initiative!

In 2016, we had an infliction point & registered a growth with close to 40 % as customer retention. Also we are a 4+ star rated brand across all e.com portals.

In 2018, we are well on target & will be mapping yet another big leap!
