Happiness is not a goal but it is a by-product of a life well-lived. Well said by Eleanor Roosevelt.

Happiness should not be your goal it is a choice, a decision you can easily make. If your goal is happiness, you can achieve that goal right this second. It is probably the easiest goal you can achieve. You decide if you are happy. It is a product of a life well-lived. It is a product of choice. This is Kahaani Zidd Ki of Rajan Mehra who believes that the best way to cheer yourself is to try to cheer someone else up. Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened. Happiness depends upon ourselves.

“I have been a sports player and participating in elocution & debates. After entering college and doing three years of graduation, I wanted to do something on my own. Though my father was a millionaire, I had my own choice. I just had Rs.100/- in my pocket and nothing clear about what I will do. I started taking tuition and made some money. A year later, I joined my family business and worked as an employee. I did not want to take any favors. I started growing the next five years and climbed the ladder. I became a partner in the firm. My family started investing in equity shares. We lost so much money but I was not affected by that. I again started from scratch.

I invested in real estate and made good money. I recovered my lost money but what next? It was a challenge as to how to do and how to execute. I started to divide the money into different segments. Into textiles, into real estate and, into long term investments and started building a passive income. I did not know, what passive income is but I knew that buying a place and giving on rent will increase my income. Slowly and steadily, we started becoming a happy family and growing at a rapid speed.

Then again, five years down the line, a setback came. We had financial losses. Still, nothing pulled me back. I went to the education sector. I was just a commerce graduate. No formal degree or law degree but I joined a law institute as an administrator. Apart from that, I started writing blogs and articles. Three years ago, I started penning down a few poems. Four line poems, eight-line poems, and then it became a habit. My journey had been of ups and downs like challenges and opportunities.

Now, COVID-19 brought a setback. No clarity, job issues, pay cuts, etc. I am again on my mission to touch as many people as possible and make their life better. My success is in making others happy and doing better for society. I have already written eight books and made two unique table calendars. So, life is a challenge and it is a beautiful opportunity. You need to really focus. Forget about the recession. Life is worthy to live and not meant to waste on cribbing and pessimism. I am just a small drop of water in this big ocean.

I am here to share with you my all ups and downs and all the good things that happened in my life. I think, you learn from your mistakes and take steps to not to make those mistakes again and again. Be a better person and be good for society. Respect your parents and elders. Love your family and follow your passion whatever that passion could be. It is not about money but it is about your goodness and living life graciously.”

The `Zidd’ of Rajan Mehra finally led him to success. He quotes an author who said, “People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. Love them anyway. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.”
